Watch Yogi Bhajan and KRI Videos on YouTube

Sat Nam and Greetings from New Mexico!

Our theme this month is “We are KRI.” Essentially this means that the organization set up by Yogi Bhajan to maintain the Teachings of Yogi Bhajan is being managed and directed by the Teachers and Trainers of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan®. Yogi Bhajan’s impact on the world has been truly amazing. I can go almost anywhere in the world and experience the technology and lifestyle of Kundalini Yoga. I can drink Yogi Tea or take a class with a kriya in Alaska or China and it will be remarkably uniform and universal. We are united in our concept of kriya and the vibration with which we hold it.

We have just completed our 2010 Immersion Level One Teacher Training Course here in Española. We had 63 students from all over the world. We also had 12 Trainers in Training (affectionately known as TNTs—they’re dynamite!) who assisted in the course and were learning how to deliver various aspects of Level One Teacher Training. Reflecting on the course, three impressions come to mind: My first impression is that the students really came to learn and practice. They came with a combination of being open and also being prepared to change so they could serve the world. My second impression is that this course was the best ever with a tremendous amount of love, care and planning put into its organization, production and teaching. My third impression is that the students, trainers and trainers in training blended their interactions during the course so that by the end of the course, something very fine, something great, was realized by all the participants. This course is the highlight of our year and I look forward to the course in 2011!

News from The Yogi Bhajan Library of Teachings

Yogi Bhajan Library of TeachingsGreetings from The Yogi Bhajan Library of Teachings!

We had a successful Yogi Bhajan Birthday Campaign thanks to the help of Angad Kaur and the Kundalini Yogis at YogaSoul in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Their inspiration led the way to community gatherings and gifts from all around the globe!

Hari Charn Kaur, the Director of KRIs Reach Out-Teach Out program, is committed to having every instructor, practitioner, and teacher of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan® participate in supporting The Yogi Bhajan Library of Teachings and its mission—keeping the legacy alive!

This month we are focusing on our global community; we are reaching out to those areas around the world that don’t currently have a Kundalini Yoga Instructor. Please give to our Reach Out-Teach Out campaign and help bring an international student to the Immersion 2011 Course and, in turn, support these teachings moving into an area of the globe where they’ve never been known before. Light up the world!

Remember: “You are Teachers of the Aquarian Age!” Live the Teachings. Love the Teachings. Serve the Teachings. Support the Teachings with your gift today!

We Are KRI

Sat Nam!

Our global community—We Are KRI—around the world has just completed our annual meditation where once a year we vibrate as one, chanting Guru Guru Wahe Guru Guru Ram Das Guru, those 11 precious minutes in which we chant in one voice, at the same time, all around the world. We also come together as students of the Master to chant Long Ek Ong Kaar, whether in your yoga studio, with your sangat, or on your own. What defines us as We Are KRI is this global community of Teachers and Trainers who share the teachings just as they were delivered by the Master, Yogi Bhajan. We do this, to quote a dear friend of mine, so that “if I’m not liberated and I have to come back, I trust that I can take a class from any Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan® instructor and know that they will deliver this technology in a form I recognize.”

In that spirit, KRI has just completed our outreach course, the Level One Immersion at Hacienda de Guru Ram Das, where students from around the world—Brazil, Ecuador, Australia, Hong Kong, India, Mexico, Canada, South Africa, France, Germany, and Sweden—all came to study together and become Kundalini Yoga Instructors.

We were also joined by 12 Trainers in Training, who also came from various points around the globe to study and develop skills to take back to their own homes. Most of these trainers and students live in areas around the world that don’t currently have a Level One Teacher Training program (and many don’t even have a teacher in their area). They’ve come here to cultivate their identity as a teacher and take these teachings back home with them. This is one piece of fulfilling KRIs Reach Out-Teach Out mission, to bring Kundalini Yoga where there is none.

The other way we’re united around the globe is through The Yogi Bhajan Library of Teachings. Your support brought a Kundalini Yogi from Haiti to the Immersion this year—so that she can bring these teachings back to her community. KRI continues building its scholarship fund so that potential teachers from underserved areas around the world can come and get the training they need to take these teachings back home with them. Your support makes this happen!

Our goal is 100% participation in the support of The Yogi Bhajan Library of Teachings and its mission. Currently, we have just under 10% participation. Please donate $11 or more and help us reach our goal of 100% global participation in supporting these teachings and the legacy they provide to all of us. Go to today and make a donation!

Many blessings, with gratitude,

Hari Charn Kaur Khalsa
